The Tidefall is a periodic world event on Saiadha that drains the seas and exposes new landmasses, resources, ruins and threats. Amplitude has confirmed it is a recurring mechanic, but the exact turn count between Tidefalls is not publicly documented, so guides recommend adapting your strategy turn by turn rather than counting down. Scout new land the moment it appears, because the exposed tiles reset what you can settle, exploit and fight over.

For a first playthrough, most community consensus leans toward the Kin of Sheredyn because their defensive fortress playstyle forgives many early mistakes, or the Aspects because cohabitating with minor factions eases expansion pressure. Sandshapers and Necrophage are among the strongest in the 1.0 meta but demand a specific playstyle: Sandshapers snowball through terraforming and Wishes, while Necrophage rely on aggressive war to feed their hive. Start simple, then graduate to the exotic factions.

You can win through Conquest victory by defeating rivals, through Score victory by reaching the highest point total, or through the seven narrative victories tied to the planet-spirit the Lost. Each faction has its own quest lines that steer you toward a unique ending, and the Worship, Impress and Master paths let you influence the Lost itself. The victory screen always shows your current progress, so pick a lane early and commit rather than trying to do everything at once.

Auto-resolve is fast and fine for routine fights, but manual battles matter in close calls and sieges. The tactical grid rewards chokepoints, cover and high ground, and each faction has a Battle Affinity that can swing fights — for example the Sandshapers' Stone Stance damages adjacent enemies. Practice manual combat in the early game while stakes are low so you are ready when a Doomwraith or the Keeper of the Depths shows up.

The narrative path system branches as you interact with the Lost. Amplitude has noted that whether you can switch between the Worship, Impress and Master paths is still being tuned and may change in future patches, so treat path decisions as meaningful and review official patch notes before assuming you can flip freely. For faction quests tied to a specific path, committing early locks you into that questline's rewards and ending.

ENDLESS Legend 2 supports online and local multiplayer with simultaneous or timed turns, hotseat, 1v1 duels, free-for-all skirmishes and full co-op games. A Public Test Branch has hosted multiplayer testing, and crossplay between platforms has been a heavily requested feature that the developers have said they are evaluating for future patches. Diplomacy scales well in multiplayer: alliances, embargos and shared wars with AI or human players.
